2026 Update – Due to increased prices for shipping, it’s more economical for you to find someone local to make them for you, or buy a fabric cutting kit and do it yourself.

*If you are local to Albuquerque/Santa Fe reach out and I can accomodate a local sale.
*I also attend the yearly Awaken (Network Spinal) program in Colorado – usually in October, and with at least 2 weeks lead time I can bring them with me.
Below are instructions:
For Regular sized face cloths I would make them 12″ x 18″
A standard bolt of fabric is usually 60″ tall, meaning from a yard of fabric you could make 10 facecloths.
The face slit I would make roughly 6 inches long, starting 3 inches from the top.
After owning and maintaining tables I realized some areas wore faster than others, with that I wanted to make a longer and wider face cloth to protect these areas.
Fleecy Face Plus: Extra length and width to protect the table in the chest and underarm area.
I would make these 20″ tall and 24″ wide, so you could cut 6 large face cloths out of 1.3 yards of fabric.

Fleecy Face Plus protects the area under the armpit.

Plus size stays in place, even during leg checks, and provides extra table protection.

Standard Size Fleecy Face Cloths
Why Make Your Own Fleece Face Cloths?
- More comfortable than paper or cloth, your practice members will love them.*
*Not everyone, some people do find them itchy, from my experience, it’s about 1% of my practice. - Taller than a standard roll of paper, provides more face protection (Both Sizes). Even when I used a face paper roll, there was often areas of the table I still had to clean because it didn’t cover the entire face area.
- Protect your table from under-arm and chest perspiration (Fleecy Face Plus)
- Face cloths will no longer slide to the floor, they are anchored by the chest during leg checks (Fleecy Face Plus)
- Eliminate the waste of face paper
- Durable no-pill polar fleece
- Easy to wash and fast to dry
- I personally recommend using fragrance free detergent for those who are sensitive
- Economical, you can give them to your patients and they can care for them
- I keep one in my glove box, and I always have it when I get my spine checked!
- I have personally used these for over 10 years. With weekly washes, expect 7+ years of use before they become a little thin and not as comfortable. Re-use your retired cloths in your home as dustcloths, or to slide furniture.
Ordering Recommendations:
Since JoAnn Fabric closed I cannot personally choose the fabric anymore.

- I would recommend solid colors.
- I noticed the printed fleece was thinner, and do not last as long.

One Final Recommendation (and thanks for reading this all the way through!), use a sharp cutting wheel, if you notice your cuts are not fast and easy or they leave behind some fleese on the cutting mat, change your blade.
